- Check with USR. I'm not sure of the chip revision number but there
- was a FREE replacement chip to callers mentioning the "Spiraling
- Syndrome of Death". This chip fixed that problem for me, also
- allowing more frequent 26.4 connections. In addition to a fix, this
- chip adds a feature! When to modems start slowing down to correct
- errors because of bad conditions now they can also speed up if
- conditions are favorable while connected!!!!
